• Camera Access: The App requires access to your device's camera strictly for scanning VeiloScan QR codes on vehicles or visitor passes. We do not record video or take photos for any other purpose.
• Authentication & Account Data: We collect information required to set up your maintainer profile, such as your name, assigned role (e.g., security guard, parking operator), organization/society name, and login credentials.
• Operational Logs: When you scan a QR code, the App logs the scan activity (such as time, date, and location of the scan) to maintain an accurate audit history for the associated residential society or business.
• Communication Data: If you use the App to contact a resident or vehicle owner, the communication is routed securely through our platform. We may log the occurrence of the communication for security purposes, but we maintain the privacy of the receiving party's personal phone number.
• Device Information: We may collect non-personal information such as device model, operating system version, and crash logs to help us troubleshoot issues and improve the App's performance.

The information collected is used for the following operational purposes:

• Access Management & Verification: To identify vehicles, validate entry/exit, and manage visitor logs for gated communities, businesses, and parking facilities.
• Secure Communication: To enable you to securely contact vehicle owners, residents, or employees (e.g., for parking issues or emergencies) without exposing their personal phone numbers.
• Security & Auditing: To provide society administrators and business managers with accurate records of vehicle movement, visitor tracking, and security activities.
• App Maintenance: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues within the App.

As a maintainer/operator tool, the data generated through your use of the App is inherently linked to the organization you are working for.

• Your Organization: Scan logs, verification records, and activity history are shared directly with the administrators of the residential society, business, or event venue that authorized your account.
• Third-Party Service Providers: We may employ third-party companies to facilitate our service (e.g., cloud hosting, secure calling infrastructure). These third parties have access to data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
• No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

The core premise of VeiloScan is privacy and security. We value your trust in providing us with operational data and use commercially acceptable means to protect it. Data transmissions are encrypted, and access to logs is strictly controlled via role-based access systems. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

The VeiloScan Maintainer App is a professional tool intended for use by adult employees, security personnel, and administrators. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
